Chameleons are lizards known for their ability to change
colors. But contrary to papular belief, the chameleon does
not change its color to match its background. It changes
as a result of its mood, the temperature, or light conditions.
Most Chameleons have brown or green as their main color,
but they can trun to an off-white, yellow, or light green.
When they are cold, their color is lighter than when they
are warm.
Chameleon is the common name for certain lizards that are
well known for their ability to change colors. The chameleon
changes color when it is frightened, under stress, or because
of changes in light, temperature, and other environmental
changes. The color change is caused by hormones that affect
certain pigment-containing cells in the skin of the chameleon.
Contrary to popular belief, its color doesn't always change
to match its surroundings.
